Götz Wentzel
After completing his studies in business administration, Götz started his career in banking. Subsequently, he was responsible for investment controlling at ABIT AG, a listed software company, before holding various management positions in receivables management, controlling, and M&A at GFKL Financial Services AG. He has been successfully active as a founder since 2012. As co-founder and partner of VERSUS, Götz advises clients in the Consumer Finance, Fintech, and Data Science segments.
Christian Peter
As co-founder and partner of VERSUS, Christian advises clients on leadership succession and recruitment in the Investment Management and Consulting segments. He also has a particular focus on the Fintech segment. Christian has more than ten years of experience in executive search and expert search within the financial sector. After graduating with a degree in business administration, he started his career at Kienbaum Management Consultants. Subsequently, he worked as a consultant and practice leader in financial services for two leading recruitment consultancies.
Hans Werner Kegel
A mathematics graduate with a strong affinity for IT systems and data, he started his career at Citibank, where he held management positions in IT, credit & risk, and collections. He was subsequently responsible for HOIST Finance’s German business as Country Manager and Group Manager for many years. Before joining VERSUS, Hans Werner was CEO of the consumer insolvency specialist MAX Deutschland / BIG and, following its successful sale, held a senior position with the LOANCOS Group. He advises clients in the Commercial Banking & Markets, Investment Management, and Data Science segments.
Siegfried Bergles
Before joining VERSUS, Siegfried was Managing Director of Western Union, responsible for the payment business in Germany and the monitoring and management of compliance risks in Europe. Prior, he held senior positions in audit and compliance at Citibank and supported the executive board as Compliance Head and a member of the extended management team at the DAB Bank Group. The graduate economist is also a sought-after expert and lecturer on risk management topics and the fight against terrorist financing, money laundering, and fraud. AT VERSUS Siegfried focuses on the Commercial Banking & Markets and Cybersecurity segments.
Jürgen Baltes
After studying business administration, Jürgen started his career in the insurance industry, where he was finally responsible for the credit insurance and private client divisions as a member of the board of the Gothaer Group. As Managing Director of ABIT AG, he was assigned with the development and sale of the listed software company. Subsequently, he moved to the executive board of GFKL Financial Services AG, responsible for the software, collections, and human resources divisions. Jürgen held positions on various supervisory boards within the financial sector. At VERSUS, he focuses on the Insurance, Software, and Consumer Finance segments.
